Description

Different lengths of Tapcon screws are used for different thickness of materials being fastened. The Tapcon screw requires a minimum embedment of 1” and a maximum embedment of 1-3/4”. To determine the minimum length screw to use add the thickness of the material to the minimum embedment of 1”. This is your minimum length screw required. Adding the maximum embedment of 1-3/4” to the thickness of the material being fastened will provide the maximum length of Tapcon screw to use.

Tapcon brand screws are the original concrete screw anchors and can be used in a variety of base masonry materials such as concrete, brick and block. 410 stainless steel provides extra corrosion resistance over the coated carbon steel version.
