Description

Notice - This connector is designed for Rough Cut lumber NOT nominal lumber (most common). This will only fit a joist that measures an actual 2x8". If you have a nominal joist measuring 1-1/2x7-1/2" you will need an LU28 Joist Hanger


Simpson Strong-Tie LU hangers are a value engineered face mount joist hanger engineered for installation ease and design value. The Strong-Tie LU24R-18 joist hanger features a G90 galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.


Installation:
  • Use all specified fasteners.
  • Use hot-dip galvanized (HDG) nails with ZMAX and HDG connector products. Use Type 316 stainless-steel nails with our stainless-steel connector products.
  • Joists sloped up to 1/4:12 achieve load tables.

NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values

Perfect 2” width fast delivery great product

Unsatisfactory

I ordered 3 of the LU28R-18 and needed more so I reordered them. This time I just received the LU28 and when it looked at the order, it was not what I ordered. When I contacted customer service, I asked as told to ship them back at my expense, and no mention of any replacements. I’ll go elsewhere.

Nope , fasteners plus and Simpson GOUGING IN THE PRICE 5.89 IS THIEVERY AS TO 1.29 FOR A REGULAR 2X6 , THIS SICKENS ME , THE GREED AND IS RATHER DISGUSTING

Not a true 2 x 8

Order was delivered fine & timely.. Must read spec's carefully - the height is NOT for a rough cut 2 x 8 it is roughly 6 5/8 which they say is engineered to carry the weight of a rough cut 2 X 8 joist. My application was slightly different thus i wanted the full 2 x 8.
