Description

This Hex Nut is a high quality and versatile fastener engineered for superior strength and durability. These hexagonal fasteners are made from medium carbon steel that is quenched and tempered. This heat treatment process gives them high strength and hardness, making them suitable for high-stress applications like heavy machinary, structural steel construction, or other high-strength applications.

This hex nut has coarse threading with 13 TPI (threads per inch) and a Plain finish. The 1/2" diameter is intended for use with other threaded items matching that dimension to ensure compatibility and durability for various applications.

A194 Grade 2H heavy hex nuts are standardized under the ASTM A194 specification. This specification covers carbon and alloy steel nuts intended for use in high-pressure and high-temperature service, as well as in other demanding conditions.

Features:

  • High-strength Use: Ideal for structural applications with A325 or A490 bolts, or where high strength is necessary.
  • Material: Made from low or medium carbon steel with a Plain finish, providing a budget-friendly option.
  • Standardized: Conforms to AASTM A194 specification to ensure durability and consistency.
  • For Use With: A325 Structural Hex Bolts, A490 Bolts, Grade B7 Threaded Rod.
