Specifications
The Simpson Strong-Tie cast-in-place CBPC column base helps prevent wood members from rotating. The bottom of its base plate is designed to be flush with the concrete. The CB46PC column base features a flat black powder-coated finish which produces a much more durable and better looking finish than standard paint.
Installation:- Use all specified fasteners.
- Allowable loads have been increased 60% for wind or earthquake loading. No further increase allowed; reduce where other loads govern.
- Minimum side cover for full loads is 3" for CBs
- Install all models with bottom of base plate flush with concrete.
- Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
