-Bolt holes shall be a minimum of 1/32" to a maximum of 1/16" larger than the bolt diameter (per 2005 NDS, section 11.1.2).

The Simpson CC4.62-5.50HDG Triple 2X Beam, 6X Post HDG Column Cap enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. Crafted from durable heavy-gauge steel, this column cap is designed to provide column-to-beam connections in wood construction.
The seat of the column cap features additional surface area beyond each side of the column to allow added area of bearing to distribute the load from the beam and provide enhanced support for the connection.
This product is intended for use with 6x posts or columns but is also available in a wide range of other sizes and both nominal and rough-cut lumber.

The CC4.62-5.50HDG bracket is super heavy duty and exactly what we needed to support the beam sitting on top of 6x6 posts. The problem is that the opening of the bracket isn't actually sized correctly for triple 2x lumber. In order to get it installed, we had to cut into the outside 2x12. This was disappointing given the cost and Simpson's reputation. I get that PT lumber can vary in size, but we tried multiple 2x12s and we couldn't find any that would fit the bracket.
Other than that, it's super heavy duty and well made.
