Description

The Simpson H1AZ Hurricane Tie provides a connection between the truss or rafter and the wall of the structure that helps resist wind and seismic forces. The H1AZ is designed for nominal 2x lumber and features a Zmax finish. These U-shaped hurricane ties provide faster installation than using two single-sided ties. The embossments add stiffness in crucial areas for improved performance.

    Strong bracket for a reasonable price point

    This hurricane tie really tightens up your joists or rafters where they tie to your support beam. The top portion screw holes ARE offset slightly, even if you can't tell from the picture. This is a much better option than toe nailing from rafter to beam. Use the zmax coated version for exterior use.
