The Simpson Strong-Tie HGLS Heavy Glulam Saddle Hanger is designed to provide strong support for heavy timber and glulam beams, eliminating the need for back-to-back hanger installations. Its saddle design ensures secure connections, making it ideal for demanding structural applications.
Key Features:
- Saddle Design: Eliminates the necessity for installing two separate hangers back-to-back, simplifying the installation process and enhancing structural integrity.
- Funnel Flange Feature: Facilitates easy and accurate beam placement during installation, reducing labor time and potential errors.
- Material: Constructed with a 3-gauge top flange and a 7-gauge stirrup, providing exceptional strength and durability.
- Finish: Standard finish is Simpson Strong-Tie gray paint. For enhanced corrosion resistance, a hot-dip galvanized (HDG) option is available upon request.
Customization Options:
- Skewed and Sloped Seats: Seats may be skewed up to a maximum of 50° and/or sloped up to 45° to accommodate various design requirements. When the seat is sloped, the maximum allowable load is 9,165 lb.; when skewed, it is 7,980 lb.
- Top Flange Modifications: The top flange may be sloped down to the left or right up to 30° or offset left or right for placement at the end of a header. Load reductions apply based on the degree of modification.
