The Simpson Strong-Tie HGLT Heavy Glulam Top-Flange Hanger is built for high-load applications where performance and durability are critical. This hanger is specially engineered for glulam beam-to-beam connections, making it ideal for structural wood framing in commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Designed to be installed over supporting members, the HGLT hanger features a top-flange configuration that provides exceptional bearing strength while allowing for fast, accurate alignment. Its optimized geometry and material thickness help deliver high uplift and download capacities, meeting demanding code requirements for engineered wood structures.
Installation:
- Installs over the top of supporting beams.
- Requires Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws (or nails, where specified).
- Do not modify hanger dimensions.
- All specified fasteners must be installed to achieve listed load values.
- Always follow manufacturer instructions and check with a qualified engineer for code compliance.
