The HTT5HDG Heavy Tension Tie is a robust solution for resisting high tension loads in wood-to-concrete connections, ideal for both residential and light-frame commercial buildings.
Key Features:
- High Load Capacity: Achieves allowable loads up to 7,650 lbs when installed with Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws, making it suitable for demanding applications.
- Optimized Design: Features a four-fold seat and tapered base to reduce deflection and enhance strength, ensuring reliable performance under load.
- Versatile Installation: Compatible with standard pneumatic nail sizes and Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws, facilitating easy installation in both retrofit and new construction projects.
- Durable Construction: Made from 10-gauge galvanized steel, providing corrosion resistance for long-term durability.
Installation Notes:
- Fasteners: Can be installed with 0.148" x 2 1/2" or 0.162" x 2 1/2" nails, or #10 x 2 1/2" Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws for maximum load capacity.
- Anchor Bolt: Requires a 3/4" diameter anchor bolt and one standard 3/4" cut washer (not included) for proper installation.
- Wood Member Size: Suitable for minimum wood member sizes of 3" x 3 1/2" when using nails or screws.
