Description

Simpson Strong-Tie HUC hangers are the concealed flange version of the HU joist hanger. Designed and tested for installation at the end of a beam or on a post, they provide a strong connection with fewer fasteners than nailed hangers. The Strong-Tie HUC210-2SS concealed flange hangers are made out of 316L stainless steel and offer maximum corrosion resistance in harsh exterior conditions.


Installation:

  • Use all specified fasteners.
  • HU/HUC—Can be installed filling round holes only, or filling round and triangle holes for maximum values.
  • Joists sloped up to 1/4:12 achieve load tables.
  • HU/HUC hangers can be welded to a steel member. Allowable loads are the lesser of the values in the hanger tables or the weld capacity - refer to technical bulletin T-HUHUC-W.


NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
