The Simpson Strong-Tie HWPH Heavy High-Wind Purlin Hangers provide exceptional support for joist-to-purlin and joist-to-beam connections in wood and cold-formed steel construction. Designed to withstand high-wind forces, these heavy-duty top-flange hangers enhance structural integrity, making them ideal for demanding environments.

- Sloped and Skewed Configurations: Can accommodate sloped headers up to 35° and skewed or sloped seats up to 45° for complex framing needs.
- Heavy-Duty Steel Construction: Built with a solid one-piece top flange made from 3-gauge steel and a 7-gauge stirrup for maximum durability.
Applications:
- High-Wind Zones: Ideal for regions prone to strong winds where added uplift resistance is critical.
- Wood and Cold-Formed Steel Construction: Supports joist connections in both wood and steel frameworks.

Installation:
- Joist Accommodation: Designed to account for natural joist shrinkage, maintaining a secure fit over time.
- Weld-On Applications: Can be welded onto steel members with a minimum 1 1/2-inch-long fillet weld on each side of the top flange, matching the hanger material thickness. Note: Uplift loads do not apply to welded installations.
- Multi-Ply Member Support: Compatible with multi-ply carried members, provided they are secured together before installation.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
