The Simpson Strong-Tie LEG Light Beam and Glulam Top-Flange Hanger is designed to support engineered wood beams in lower-load applications. This light end beam and glulam hanger features top flanges that capture the top chord of the beam to prevent rotation, but can be ordered without them depending on application needs.
Key Features:
- Design Flexibility: The LEG hanger may be skewed or sloped up to 45°, offering versatility in various construction scenarios. When not skewed, it may be offset left or right for placement at the end of a header. The Funnel Flange design guides the beam into place, facilitating easy installation.
- Material and Finish: Constructed with a 7-gauge stirrup and top flange, the LEG hanger ensures durability and structural integrity. It comes standard with a Simpson Strong-Tie gray paint finish, with some products available hot-dip galvanized.
Customization Options:
- Skewed Seat: The LEG can be skewed up to 45°, with a maximum allowable load of 10,000 lb.
- Sloped Seat: The LEG can be sloped up to 45°, with a maximum allowable load of 9,665 lb.
- Offset Top Flange: The LEG top flange may be offset left or right for placement at the end of a header. The maximum allowable load is 5,665 lb. (Min. H = 9"). No skews are allowed on offset hangers. Models are available without top flanges; see table loads.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
