The MCT Mass Timber Column Tie is designed to connect two glulam columns, facilitating vertical load transfer through direct column-to-column bearing. Its concealed design enhances architectural aesthetics and fire protection, making it ideal for post-and-beam style construction.

- Integrated Lifting Hole: Features a tested lifting load capacity, aiding in the safe and efficient positioning of columns.
- Alignment Aids: Crosshair marks at pipe centerlines assist in precise installation, ensuring structural integrity.
Installation Notes:
- Precision Cutting: Utilize CNC equipment for cutting and drilling to maintain accuracy; if using hand tools, exercise extra care to ensure precision.
- Level Column Ends: Ensure column ends are cut level to facilitate proper bearing between columns.
- Accurate Hole Placement: Position dowel and end mill holes on true centerlines of the glulam, maintaining a tolerance of ±1/32".
- Secure Fastening: Use tight-fit dowels or bolts (not included) with specified strength criteria to complete the connection.
