The Simpson MPB44Z 4x4 Moment Post Base - Zmax Finish enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. Crafted from durable heavy-gauge steel, this post base is specifically designed to provide moment resistance for columns or posts.

The innovative overlapping sleeve design encapsulates the post, helping to resist rotaion around the base, making this ideal for outdoor structures such as carports, fences, and decks. Built-in standoff tabs provide the required 1" standoff to resist rot and decay of the post.

This product is intended for use with 4x4 posts or columns but is also available for other post and column sizes.

Simpson Strong? You bet!

The MPB44Z is Simpson strong. Great product. It was easy to install and after the concrete cured and the post was installed, there was no sway or movement whatsoever. I can't understand why it costs $130 though. I think maybe $60 - $75 would be fair, but it did the job so I'm glad I bought it.
