Description

The SUBE wall-stud bridging connector for cold-formed steel (CFS) is engineered to connect cold-rolled channel (CRC) at the end of a wall, single-stud jamb, or the ends of panel walls, curtain walls, or load-bearing conditions.
This connector is installed on the open side of the stud, using screws to attach it to the stud lips. This design effectively limits drywall buildup and creates a safer work environment by eliminating sharp-point screw perforations through the web. The SUBE's outer flanges enable a snug fit over the open side of the stud without requiring special tools or clamping during installation. By preventing drywall bulge and reducing onsite safety hazards, this connector saves time and improves efficiency on the jobsite.

Key Features:

Tested to include stud-web strength and stiffness in the tabulated design values
Design values ensure compliance with AISI S100 Sections C2.2.1 and C2.3 for axially and laterally loaded studs
Flexible design solutions for web thicknesses from 33 mil (20 ga.) to 97 mil (12 ga.) and stud sizes of 3 5/8" and 6"
• Improves onsite safety by eliminating sharp-point screw perforations through the web in traditional clip attachments to wall-end stud webs
Prevents drywall bulge with no screw attachment to the stud flange
